Pets’ Special Needs include both their hair (coat/fur), as well as their skin:  Bumpy Skin, Calluses, Difficult Skin, Dry Hair, Dry Skin, Dull Hair, Flaky Skin and Hair, Itching, Mangy/Hair Loss (some forms), Oily Skin and Hair, Rubbing, Scaly Skin, Scratching, Scruffy Hair, Sensitive Skin, and Yeast Infection, Skin.  And, like their human counterparts, these conditions are more prevalent today than in the past, due to the heavy influx of chemicals in the environment.  Yet, unlike us humans, little pets cannot verbalize their needs.  They are dependent on us to care for their skin and hair (coat/fur) irritations for them.  When pets are in pain, their owners are in pain as well.  It is most frustrating to see our animals suffer.

This was the situation I found myself in recently when I met a friend’s four-year-old cocker spaniel, “Little Dog” (or “L.D.” for short).  He was suffering from a severe case of Yeast Infection, Skin, common to that breed.  His owner told me that she had tried many things to combat her dog’s pain, but to no avail.  Little Dog had no appetite, no energy, and his body was covered with open sores.  Even his hair was falling out.  After seeing his condition, I could think of nothing else but finding a way to help them both.  I went home and worked on the shampoo I was developing for “humans” and brought back a sample for Little Dog and his owner.  It was incredible!  Within only two days (and two shampoos), Little Dog was…well, BEAUTIFUL (and both he and his owner were very HAPPY)!

Meeting Little Dog was such a very emotional, heart-wrenching situation; it prompted me to develop my Flawlessly Yours!
